Flurries
It is the saturday after my first week of work in Boston, and I finally now have gotten a chance to create the new blog. No pictures yet; I'll have to add those from home.
I really have no idea where to begin, since so much has happened since I left smelLA. This week of work was mostly spent getting up to speed on things, but since Thursday I have felt very comfortable with it. The co-workers (several of which are here at the office now for some crazy reason) are really cool. Working at a large company (200+ humans) is not as different as I imagined it, probably because my interaction is limited to a under a dozen people.
What else.. There is a coffee machine that does hot chocolate, and I am all over it. There is also a shower here, which is great since the morons at the gas company have yet to provide me with hot water. There is also a pool table, with felt considerably better than Old Slice's hopelessly undulating surface. Finally, right now the entire office is profusely covered by a mish-mash of various halloween decor.
My commute is about 20-30 minutes, and a good half of it is spend under a beautiful canopy of colored leaves. It is almost directly between Westwood (work) and Boston proper, so the apartment is only about 15 minutes from the city. Aside from airport runs, I haven't been downtown yet.
Our new apartment is quite a find; we were fortunate to steal a very unique 3rd story unit in a nice neighborhood. It is 2.5 bedrooms, has endless hardwood floors, and is always cold.
Patches spends most of the time in the furthest depths of my mummy bag, and I can't say I blame her. There's no heat in the apartment yet, there are lots of strange noises coming from outside, and there is a severe shortage of scratchable objects.
All for now.

Dan-
Every time I see that preview for Jake Gyllenhaal's new cowboy movie, I think of you.
So... the idea of blogging is to post somewhat REGULARLY so people can read about it and feel involved in your life.
Just thought I'd clear that up for you.
