Many Thanks

What an exhausting weekend. Rewarding, but exhausting nonetheless. I need a vacation.

I want to say thanks to everyone who took time out of their busy schedules to hang out with me, and of course to everyone who came to support Jenine on Sunday. What an amazing show - I'm so, so, so proud of her!

I wish I could say the same for "The Power of the Penis". Unfortunately, empty angst and 20 boxes of Trojans does not an art show make.

Thanks to Jon for spending 5 hours cleaning out his garage so that we could play 3 measley hours (i'm crying inside - i need MORE!) of a short-but-oh-so-sweet game of poker with the coolest kids on the block. Thanks to Matt for actually coming.

Thanks to Grace and Jon for hosting the fun firepit-in-the-rain party on Saturday night. I had fun eating Jesse-grilled sausage, talking about pot and how much Canadians rule with Joanna, seeing Liz with TBD, and of course, passive-agressively drinking massive amounts of vodka out of innocent looking water bottles with Wes and Matt.

Thanks for Grace and Jon again, this time for helping Jenine and myself set up the infamous thesis show, and to Jon one last time for the death-defying acrobatics that erected a curtain and saved the show from disaster. If I had been up there my gangly, flailing limbs probably would have fallen to a grisly death between the wall boards, only to have my bones found years later by punk freshmen looking for a dark place to make out.

Now I am back, glad to be with the cat again, glad to be back at work, and anxiously awaiting the Muther Fucking Artist's arrival.

The Power of the Penis left me feeling limp.

My first reaction was, 'Angry freshman Alanis Morriset listening art major in art class 101 girl.'

Lame.

It was funny that in the art show they had the good shows in one building and the bad shows in the other building. I wondered if that was intentional.

Great to see you. We miss you!

Hopefully we'll have a kitty soon to knock up Patches.
